My romantic husband
He had a beer or two,
and isn't it so that when man are drunk they speak the truth?
He sings sweat songs in my ear and kisses my nose,
He declares his eternal love to me,
He gently strokes my back and kisses me in my neck,
Holds me close and kisses me passionately,
He looks naughty at me and unbuttons my blouse,
He kneels in front of me and sings a serenade
I believe I'm going to have great sex,
Partly undressed, I lay on my back on our bed...
and hold my breath,
Husband threw himself beside me, I close my eyes and wait for what is going to com..
He lies motionless.... quit..... I hear a snore.............
I have no sex tonight .....
He will have a headache tomorrow...
and isn't it so that when man are drunk they speak the truth?
He sings sweat songs in my ear and kisses my nose,

Glee!
Since last week Glee is also here on the tv!
I have to admit, I LOVE IT!!
I just saw the first 4 episodes but yes I'll follow it from now on.
We just saw the Kurt-Beyonce -> Single ladies dance.
Really had me laughing. Also later in the show, when he tells his father he's gay and his father responds with the line:
The songs, the dance and most of all the one liners of Sue!
Yes, loving it!
Now I understand why people in Amerika love it.
You know what I like most of all...
Yes! We are both sitting on the couch and laugh and talk about everybody that is in the serie.

Long time, no write
It has been tooo long since my last post, but from now on I'll be back :).
So, time is running here. The kids are back to school and husband and I are both working again.
Last night we finally had an evening out. We had to wait for the babysitter (Yes, we know we have teens, but still too young to stay home alone in the evening) and we went.
Here in ouw town we have an all you can eat Japanese restaurant. Everybody was telling us how great the food is and the people. They are going on and on and on!
Well we wen't and I have to say, the food was good, but it was soooo noisy! It seemed that every little bit off noise crashed at the wall of the restaurant and returned. So, it wasn't a romantic diner anymore and we left very quickly! No, we didn't go home. The weather was beautiful so we went to another restaurant and sat on the terrace.

WorldCup 2010
Here in Holland everybody is nervous about the game that is jet to come.
Tonight at 20:30 (our time) The Netherlands are going to play against Uruguay. The papers are full of it and everybody is expecting that we are winning.
Last week when the played against Brasil my son was a nervous wrek. The first 45 minutes he jump up and down, walked to the kitchen and back and sometime's closed his eyes... So you can understand that tonight it will be the same.
Our garden is full with orange flags and our street is too.
I have to admit that I like the mood that everybody is in. Decorating there house, street and garden.
Here is a picture of The EK in 2008, so it will give you an idea..

Changes
I changed a couple things, because I just had to.
I didn't write for a while, because I was busy with other things.
Luckely for me there wasn't a lot to do to change to an other blog, I just exported and imported it.
Now it's time to talk again to the world.

New ages.
A new year!
I was thinking what wil happen this year.
My son wil turn 14 years old!
My daughter wil turn 13 years old!
I'm going over 40!
My husband is still nog going to be 40!
We will live in this house for four years!
Well if I just think off my kids, they are getting so old! Sometimes I wonder where that little boy is who hardly smiled. It's just unbelieveble that everything is going so fast.
The days, weeks, months, years everything is racing by and the only thing I can do is help, learn, participate and watch it go by.

Almost 2010
For us it's just 27 minutes and the new year will begin.
All day you hear firework everywhere and when you go outside there is a lot to see in the sky.
In Holland we are allowed to set off firework on last day of the year from 10:00 in the morning till 02:00 in the night.
So you can imagine that everybody who wants to set off firework is having a ball.
It's not like this in every country, can you tell me how it is in your county?

Winter Wonderland
It is snowing in the place where we live. Jahooeee!!
I love snow!
Yesterday it was al over the news that snow was going to come.
We looked at the sky and thought, where is it.
Nothing happened, no snow, not even a resembles of something that looks like snow. Our first thought was that they made a mistake, or that it would come but much, much later.
So we went to bed, before we went to bed, we looked outside, but no, no snow.
But WOW , this morning the world is white. The best part is, it’s snow where you can make a snow doll (is that how you call it?) from and have snow balls fights.
I really love that!
Unfortunately we have to wait, because we have to work and the kids must go to school.
A college of mine just told me, there is more snow an the way.
So we are going to be ok!

Saint Nicolais left, Santa Claus is coming.
I have to say that if have been busy with a lot of things the last days, so I didn't have time to write.
But here I am again.
Here in Holland Saint Nicolais left for Spain this sunday. Every child is happy with the gifts and the fact that Saint Nicolais came by there house or school.
In all the stores you can buy Saint Nicolais candy with discount and everything in the store that first was reserved for Saint Nicolais is now filled with Santa Claus things.
Yes, we are going from one child feast to an other. Isn't is great!!!
Yess for the children, I can see there wishlist already.
No they didn't get anything for Saint Nicolais, it's more fun if they really believe in it. They leave there shoe at the door and sing songs to Saint Nicolais so they really hope he is coming. The children really believe that Saint Nicolais can hear them.
There is no singing for Santa Claus, no leaving your shoe at the door, so this is so differant.
Don't get me wrong, I love chrismas. The trea, the lights, the jolly good feeling.
I have to admit, I miss the fact that the children are small and believe in Saint Nicolais.

Excuse me?! Saying I'm not a good mother....
Today I was reading somewhere on the internet that a research, I think it was from England, showed that children of working mothers are not as healthy as stay at home moms childrens. (Wow, that was a long sentence).
So, I said it.
(Sorry if my English is now really bad!)
Ok, the research claims that children under the age of 5, don't eat healthy, drink a lot of sweatened soda (like cola), watch more television and are often brought by car to school.
You know what bugs me, that the research result claimt it happens with every mother.
So I have to tell people that my children are healthy and they eat also a lot of vegatables.
Yes, I´m a working mom, since the moment they where born. I just wasn´t born to be a stay at home mom, it´s just not in me.
And yes, it is possible that their are family that are just like the result of the research, but it also happens at home where the mothers are staying home.
I´m just getting a little crazy about the fact that working moms have to explain their selves.
So, I said it.

Do we have a money tree..?

Did I mention that we have Saint Nicolais and Santa Clauss in Holland..?
Did I mention that when children find out that Saint Nicolais is not the one who brings the presents but we the parents, that they don't have to expect that much?
No, wel it's true.
Did I mention that my children missed that part..?
My daughter, who is 12 year, wants to have a phone and not just a phone.. No she wants a LG cookie ore was it a LG Star, ore no she wants UGGS ore no..
Well I guess you know what I mean she wants really a lot off things .. for Saint Nicolais...
She told me that she knows she to old for Saint Nicolais, that she knows we don't do presents any more, but she just loves that phone and she really wants to have it.
So please, please, please pretty please can she have that phone (and if she can't get the phone, then maybe can she get UGGS..?).
I think you all know how those things go.
Well, that is my daughter talking, listen to what my son says.
Let me tell you first, that 2 weeks ago the xbox360 was banned from internet. So, that means he can't play with the xbox on-line. He was really cranky about that and now, I think you know what I'm about to say.
Yes, he wants to have a new xbox360, and if it is really just not possible he would settle for money.....
I have asked the kids often enough, if we have a money tree we don't know about. Unfortunately the kids also can't find it.....

The WorldWideWeb

The internet is so integrated in everybody’s life. Even my parents are working with a computer and starting to learn more and more about Internet.
Here is a sum off all the thins I do on the internet:
· Googeling (what a word), I think I google more then 10 times a day. For my work and private. Everything I don’t know I type in too google. When of our kids have a question I know the answer too but I don’t know how to explain. I just type in the word ore the whole question and there is the right answer ore explanation.
· Following the news. Every day I go to my favorite newspaper site and read what happened in the world. Off course I look at the news on the tv, but sometimes I don’t have enough time.
· Reading blogs and articles. Finding out how the lives of people all over the world is. I love reading blogs from people from different countries. This way you can find out how people are living, ore what there house looks like, ore how the school is over there. I also read some blogs from women in Holland and it can be so different.
· Learning, yes I learn a lot from the internet. New words, new software, instructions guides everything everywhere.
· Shopping, yep, I’m one of those people who shop on the internet. I like the fact that it’s so easy to shop from a foreign country. Last year I bought make-up from America and my wedding dress came from China, yes from ebay. I love it!
· Blogging, writing in English and Dutch. Writing about different stories, themes and so much more!
I think there is more much much more to find and I haven’t discovered everything yet. Maybe that’s a good thing, because I think that would be do only thing I do!

Think of this any day!
Starting the day with this
Lucille Ball was considered to be too shy ...
The Beatles were turned down cause guitar music was on the way out ...
Michael Jordan was cut from the high school basketball team ... went home and cried
Thomas Edison was said to be too stupid to learn anything ...
Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper cause he lacked imagination and original ideas ...
Abraham Lincoln failed in business, had a nervous breakdown, was defeated in 8 elections ...
If you have never failed, you have never lived ... LIFE = RISK
Good to start any day !

My brain!
So, my brain is working overtime again. Every now and then I have an idea and it's something that I MUST do! (because I want too).
I have had so much idea's in the last couple years, well I think whole my life!
I wanted to start painting and I would buy everything that has to do with it. My husband also bought me some stuff. Off course I did something with it.... for two weeks... and then it was over. I found something new, I wanted to bake cakes. You know the really pretty ones, that you see in a bakkery or online. Ok, it started when we where planning our wedding, I saw much really nice, pretty, funny wedding cakes! I thought to myself "I can do that too"! Trust me, I cannot! I'm to impatient so that didn't work also.
I wanted to make all my one clothes, well you can guess it by now. I made a few things and then I was ready.
But I always liked computers and most of all software. It's my job, so I have to like it. But now I'm in a new fase, I want a new thing. I want to learn how to design website's. Yes, I started already, but boy it's harder then I thought. I hope I wil keep on going now, because I think this is a keeper.
Well I will found out in a few weeks or months, because I gave myself time to learn.
I hope my brain stays with me this time and doesn't leave me in the cold!

Big family
When I met my husband it turned out that he had a big family. He has 5 brothers and 3 sisters. I only have 1 sister, but a lot off cousins. I saw them not that often any more, but my husbands family I saw every week.
In first year when we met, it turned out he had two cousins who loved to sleep with us. His brother was divorced and he had his daughters every other weekend. In those weekend they always slept one night at our house. We didn't have children's yet so I had to get use to it. Most off the time we did the mattress in the living room, we made popcorn, had drinks and we watched some movies. I remember that I found it soooo very irritating that she always asked questions about the movie.....
At the time our first child was born, they still wanted to sleep over. The oldest cousin turned out to be a real mommy (she was six year old) and looked over our son. I remember when our son just learned how to walk she was always with him to take care off him. Off course a child falls and when it happened she picked him up and said : No, he can't walk yet....
Time went by and we had a daughter. Those cousins and our children where almost always together, at the other weekend we had four children or we had none. Because our children grew older and wanted to sleep with their uncle and his daughters.
In the mean time my husbands other brother also had children, two girls. Their was a time that my children where sleeping at brother 1, the next day at brother 2 and the next weekend the slept at our place. Yes sometimes all six off them ore we had 4 children. At one point we even had 8 children over to sleep.
It was busy, but I really loved it. Waking up in the morning and hearing children voices who were talking and playing. Making a mess in the shower and they found it really funny, we didn't. In the winter when it was snowing we went outside for a walk and we trew snowballs to each other. Yes, it was busy but also a great time. We were washed out on Sunday evening, our children went to bed very early and we said to our selves "Let's not do that again".
Now the children are much older, my cousins are 19 and 18 years old, mine are 13 and 12 and the 2 girls from my husband's other brother are 7 and 9 years old. My cousins don't sleep at our house any more, they have other things on their mind!
The children of brother 2 sometimes sleep at our house, or our daughter sleeps at his house. My son doesn't want to sleep out any more.
But... my sister has 2 kids now, one is 4 years old and the other one is 2 years old. The oldest of 4 years old slept the whole weekend with us.
It seems like everything is starting al over again, a new generation is coming to sleep now. Cousins come and go and I have to say that I really love it.

Sleeping naked
I read somewhere a post about sleeping naked, it someone knows who's post it was please tell me.
I have to confess I love to sleep naked too, but I have a 13 year old son. So I also keep in mind that I can not do it any more or that I must have a night gown or something else that I can grab when I come out off bed.
I think about it, but do you think my son does the same...????
NO!
Well he thinks about it not to walk naked in the house (because his body is a no no place for me to see).
But check this out!
Just this week I was in the bathroom to take a shower, he just walks in!
I said 'can you please go, I'm ready and want to dry myself off'
NO he replies I'm brushing my teeth.
And keeps on doing what he is doing.
Ok...., I think to myself, what to do now.
So, I open the shower curtain just a little bit and start to dry myself off.
He doesn't react and keeps on brushing his teeth.
While I'm drying myself I say to him
"So this evening when you are taking a shower, I'm going to brush my teeth"!
He looks at me and leaves the bathroom very quietly.....
I find this so strange behaver off him, I can't see him naked, but if he sees me it's ok!
I asked him this later and he says
"your body hasn't changed since I last seen it, but mine isn't.....!
Yeah right!

Crazy me or crazy daughter
I have to say there are some things in life I don't want to go to, and one of them is going to the dentist.
I think that in this family, I'm the only one with weak teeth, so you can imagine I don't want to go. Every time when I go to the dentist he finds something. It can be a hole (is that the correct word) or he says a filling in my tooth is not ok anymore. So I'm starting to shake and also try to relax myself and try not to think of what is gonna come.
I sigh, brase my self and.... the dentist says "You have to make an appointment and come back another time".
NOOOOO!!!! I scream to myself and I says (hopefully) Let's do it now at this moment, I'm ready!
No, there is not enough time he responses.
So I have to make an appointment for an other day and time.
Let me tell you, till that time I'm trying not to think of it, but I can't I just have to think off that whole the time.
The day comes... I wake up with a pain in my stomach and I think of it whole day. I feel nervous, not myself, trying to get out of the appointment, but think to myself that I just have to go.
So I go... and what do you know, I didn't feel a thing and everything went fine.
I just know the nex time I have to go, I feel the same!
Why is the titel crazy daughter? Because my daughter has to go to the dentist one off these days and I have to make an appointment for her and my son. The last week she said it to me several times, she even called me up at my work to remind me not to forget to call the dentist.
I'm gonna do it this week, you see my stomach starts hurting and I don't even have to go!
I guess I'm crazy!

Questions of my children to me.
My children can ask me sometimes questions..., sometimes I can't even answer them. The ask them on the strange times and moments. I have to say my daughter does it more often.
Here they come!
When did you get your first grey hair?
How old were you when you had your first kiss?
How old were you when you had sex for the first time? (I didn't answer that..)
Are you sure you can drive?
Who was your first love? (I said it doesn't matter, it matters who is my last love..)
At what age did you had sex for the first time (I didn't answer that)
Why did you want to have children?
And if I were a boy, do you still love me? (Off course I said!)
Do you want to die? (O, this is so confrontating! I smoke ...)
Do you want to look old? (Ok, my hair is on some places grey but something I forget to dy it)
And yes they have more questions, questions, questions.
