Children and jobs in the house

Both children have a job here in this house. Not much, but do you think they do it? No, they're always so busy with everything (and nothing). Our son is not attending school right now (he still has vacation) the only thing out of his hands, is the dishwasher and nothing else! Yes, only if we specifically ask it, but otherwise not. Don’t think if we ask, they immediately get up and do it.No, there not.
The always say “Waite a minute” and it becomes a half an hour or so. We have to ask it again, and finally they do it. Most of the time the get angry and start arguing with me or their father. Witch the know the always loose J.
I occasionally ask them whether they are near-sighted or just
don’t see what there father and I see, a lot of mess.
We don’t ask for much, well that is what I think.

One of them has to do the dishwasher for a month, the other one has to make sure the living room is clean and tidy.

Schocking

Yesterday I suddenly had my sister on the phone. "Ma is in the hospital," she said. Jee so there I was shocked, well who does not. The worst is that they are on vacation in Bali. So it's not that you 'just' go there. Later my father was on the line and told me that she had a heart attack and was still short of breath. None of this is nothing. Through an SMS, he said that it now goes well with her.

When I think back to yesterday. Shortly after I got the call I first checked how expensive it is to go to Bali and whether we have the money. Luckely there is, because you keep it all eventualities.

Last night at dinner with the children I told that there grandmother is in the hospital. The first reaction was, we must go. My husband said, "When you need to go to you’re mom, just go". Their faces immediately looked very disappointed, because the wanted to go too. But let's not get crazy, it was obviously not onley Grandma they cared about, noooo they saw it more as a reason not to go to school

It is now one days later, the world goes on, up this morning, bread for the children prepared the children to school and I went to my work. Pressure at work enough to go, but go with your thoughts to the other side of the world and you wonder, how is she?

Me, myself and I

Hello everybody,

I'm a 40 year young mother who is married since last year. We life in Holland, and just moved in to our new home three years ago. My children are 12 and 13 years old, so the are in puberty. In Holland we learn to speak\ read and write English at an early age, my son and daughter started at age nine, and I starten at age 12.

Over the years speaking English went a lot better, but writing didn't. I was thinking I can learn it best by doing it, so here I am blogging.

I wil write mostly about my family, recipices and other things here in Holland.

Thank you for reading
